The 1st Cara Fun Run will take place on Sunday 26th March 2017

The event will be a timed run / walking event for runners, walkers and families. The run will take place at 11am in St. Anne’s Park Raheny via The Red Stables Car Park.

Whether you are a serious runner, looking to improve your fitness, or looking for a nice family stroll, you can take part and help raise much needed funds for this very special residential centre.

What is the Cara Alzheimer's Centre? Cara Alzheimer's Centre is run by St. Michael’s House. It is located in Belcamp and is a purpose-built residential home, specialising in the care for people with an intellectual disability and Alzheimer's Disease.

       

About Cara

Cara Alzheimer's Centre located in Belcamp, is the first purpose-built residential home in Ireland, specialising in the care for people with an intellectual disability and Alzheimer's Disease. Staff at Cara supports service users and families to maintain a quality lifestyle, while adjusting to the difficulties associated with the progression of Alzheimer's Disease. Trying to make Cara as homely as possible, each service user has their own bedroom with en-suite facilities. For many, the favourite space in the house is the multi-sensory courtyard garden, which is the accessible from all areas. Facilities are also available for families to stay overnight.
